Aerial Shots of Papua - Jayapura to Wamena

The forest between Jayapura to Wamena full with forests and river.  This main river was called Mamberamo River which connects Jayapura and Wamena.

Rivers and tributaries between Jayapura and Wamena.  There are few roads along this area of land and the tracks can only be used by 4 wheel cars, therefore rivers are often used as a mode of transportation.

A settlement just outside of Wamena.

 Baliem River from above.

Pasar Baru or Djibama, a local market just outside of Wamena selling vegetables, fruit and local souvenirs.

A small farm just outside of the city of Wamena.  The area is fully enclosed to keep out animals such as pigs who may eat the growing vegetables inside.  The circular building is called a honai and is the traditional building of Wamena and the greater valley.
